METSIM® Training

METSIM® training courses

Practical, hands-on METSIM® training delivered by practising metallurgical engineers — people who build and audit simulation models for operating plants, not career trainers. Courses run live online or on-site at your operation, wherever in the world it is.

The catalogue

Foundation to advanced — every course hands-on

Every course works through real industry models, practical examples and case studies, so your team leaves able to apply what they learned to your flowsheet — with technical support behind them that typically responds within 48 hours.

Live online or on-site — your call

Live online

Instructor-led over video with hands-on exercises — the format our monthly public courses use. See the Events page for upcoming dates.

On-site

We come to your operation and train your team on your own flowsheet, wherever you operate. On-site courses can be tailored: a Basic course built around your plant's circuit beats a generic tutorial every time.

For module courses, refreshers, or on-site team training, book a consultation and we'll confirm dates, format and pricing directly.

FAQ

METSIM® training questions

Is METSIM training available remotely?

Yes. Most of our courses run live online — instructor-led with hands-on exercises, not recorded videos. The monthly Basic Introductory course is delivered this way, and any module course can be too.

How long is the basic METSIM course?

Four days, live online. It takes a new user from first principles to building working mass and energy balance flowsheets.

Do I need a METSIM licence to attend training?

Talk to us when booking — we'll make sure every attendee has working software access for the course.

Is there a METSIM tutorial I can start with instead?

There's no substitute for structured training on real models, which is why our courses are built around industry flowsheets rather than toy examples. Our Insights articles show METSIM applied to real problems if you want a feel for the software first.

Can you train our whole team on-site?

Yes — on-site courses are a core format wherever your operation is, and we tailor the material to your flowsheet.

Ready to build real simulation capability in your team?

Public courses run monthly, and on-site programmes are tailored to your flowsheet. Let's find the right course and date.
